Join us as we embark on our “Bucket List” adventure to Niagara Falls, Canadian side. We fly from Rapid City and then spend the next 3 nights & 2 full days exploring this amazing region. For your experience our hotel is situated overlooking the falls.

Itinerary:

 Day 1 – Thursday -  Rapid City Airport to Buffalo, NY                   

Your journey today begins at Rapid City Regional Airport, please see your individual travel itinerary. After check-in pass through TSA security and then await boarding of your flight. For connecting flights to Buffalo, NY. Please check the electronic departure information board for gate information as sometimes gates can and do change. On arrival in Buffalo please go to the baggage reclaim area for your flight and look for Stuart who will be wearing a black cowboy hat. Once all bags have been accounted for, we will transfer to the hotel for overnight. Remember to have your passports available as we cross over into Canada and head to our hotel. The hotel has a restaurant and bar for your pleasure.

Day 2 – Friday – The Niagara Falls Journey.
After breakfast we depart the hotel at 9.30am for our short ride to the edge of the Falls where you take in the view. Watch as an astounding 681,750 gallons per second flows over the Horseshoe Falls. We continue our Niagara Falls Journey to the ‘Behind the falls’, experience.
Your Journey Behind the Falls visit will take 30 to 45 minutes Elevators descend 125 feet through bedrock to tunnels that lead and to the Cataract Portal and the Great Falls Portal which is one-third of the way behind the massive sheet of water. Then you walk on to the Upper and Lower Observation Decks at the very foot of the Falls. Posters of information are a great resource of information about the history and evolution of the hallways you walk through. Journey Behind the Falls is an iconic Niagara Falls experience, make sure you take a waterproof camera.
The next adventure is your  ‘Up Close’ and personal view of the falls aboard ‘The Maid of The Mist’ tour. You will be supplied with water protective ponchos but you will get wet! After the tour we will return to the hotel should anyone wish to get changed. 

This afternoon we travel along the scenic Niagara Parkway, towards Niagara-on-the-Lake, to visit “Niagara Parks' famous Floral Clock. The intricate designs on the face of the Floral Clock are created with thousands of carpet bedding plants and are changed twice each year. The planted face of the Floral Clock is maintained by Niagara Parks horticulture staff, while the mechanism inside is kept in working order by Ontario Power Generation. The tower at the back of the clock houses Westminster chimes that greet each quarter hour. 

A Visit to the Botanical Gardens
A DISPLAY OF HORTICULTURAL EXCELLENCE
Stroll along peaceful walking trails, where seasonal display beds reveal a fresh palette of stunning flowers and foliage. Explore the parterre, rose, vegetable and herb gardens, and let the serene beauty of Niagara’s most beautiful natural surroundings captivate you.

Designed by students of the Niagara Parks School of Horticulture, the gardens feature over 80,000 annual plants grown in the on-site greenhouse. One hundred and fifty student-designed hanging baskets can also be spotted in the gardens throughout the growing seasons.

Day 3 – Saturday – Niagara Falls, Ontario – Niagara on the Lake, Niagara Wine Country & Weland Locks
Today we visit Niagara-on-the-Lake is a town of 19,000 people (2021). It sits on the shore of Lake Ontario at the mouth of the Niagara River. This quaint and historic town is a delight to wander around with it’s many shops and cafes along the main street. It is in the middle of a thriving grape- and fruit-growing area featuring many wineries. .
This evening is our farewell Supper and a fitting tribute to this amazing albeit, short ‘Bucket List” trip

Day 4 – Sunday -  Niagara Falls to Home airport. 
Today it’s time to head home and say goodbye to this Niagara… At the appropriate time we will transfer back to Buffalo airport and return flight home.
