With magnificent waterfalls, fiery volcanoes, lush green valleys and more, it's easy to see why many people call Hawaii paradise...so take a break and relax in Hawaii.
This state encompasses nearly the entire volcanic Hawaiian Island chain, which is made up of hundreds of islands spread over 1,500 miles (2,400 km). At the southeastern end of the archipelago, the eight "main islands" are (from the northwest to southeast) Ni'ihau, Kaua'i, O'ahu, Moloka'i, Lāna'i, Kaho'olawe, Maui, and Hawai'i. The last is by far the largest, and is often called the "Big Island" or "Big Isle" to avoid confusion with the state as a whole. This archipelago is physiographically and ethnologically part of the Polynesian subregion of Oceania.
There are several areas in Hawaii under the control and protection of the National Park Service. Two areas are designated as national parks: Haleakala National Park near Kula, Maui, includes Haleakala, the dormant volcano that formed east Maui; and Hawaii Volcanoes National Park in the southeast region of the island of Hawaii, which includes the active volcano Kilauea and its various rift zones. The climate of Hawaii is typical for a tropical area, although temperatures and humidity tend to be a bit less extreme than other tropical locales due to the constant trade winds blowing from the east. Summer highs are usually in the upper 80s °F, (around 31°C) during the day and mid 70s, (around 24 °C) at night.

Day 5 - Flight to Maui then 6 wonderful free days to do EXACTLY as you wish
Alas it is time to leave the beautiful Island of Oahu behind, as we set our sights on the next portion of this trily amazing vacation....It is time for the fun on Maui to commence!! Upon arrival we coach transfer to the Kaanapali Beach hotel, full Ocean View Rooms, 5 night Stay Breakfast included each morning.
Join us on Maui, our favorite island, for six days of sun, beach, and fun. We will be staying right on Kaanapali Beach in West Maui. Kaanapali Beach is consistently voted one of the top beaches in Hawaii and in the United States. Beautiful sandy beaches, with mild surf, make this a great beach for swimming, paddle boarding, and snorkeling. In fact, some areas of Kaanapali Beach boast coral coverage of up to 80%, making it one of the top places to see tropical fish, octopus, sea turtles, and occasionally seals. Kaanapali Beach also offers shopping at Whalers Village, and it’s only a short drive to the historic whaling town of Lahaina with shopping and lots of restaurants.
If you want to spend the full six days hanging out on the beach, you can do that! If you want to explore more of Maui, you can join us and travel to some of their favorite spots on Maui. For instance, how about a drive to Hana. The scenery and beauty of the island is showcased on this drive. Not only will you experience the twisty and curvy highway to Hana with all of its tropical rain forest, plants, black sand beaches, and waterfalls, but you will see why Hana is a special place of its own on the island. Rather than returning on the same highway, we will take you to west entrance to Haleakala National Park where we can hike through a bamboo forest to one of the tallest and most beautiful waterfalls on Maui. After we leave the park we will drive on the South end of the island, where most tourists do not go. As we drive the narrow and scenic roads, we move into Maui cattle country.
How about a day in the upcountry of Maui? Visit Haleakala National Park and look into the crater of a dormant – not extinct – volcano. Then stop at a lavender plantation for break and some shopping, before heading to the Ulupalakua Rach for some great Maui Beef Burgers and for some wine tasting at Maui Wine.
Maui also has some of the best golf courses in Hawaii! We are staying right on the Kaanapali Beach Golf Course with majestic views of the ocean and the islands of Lanai and Molokai. Or we can travel a few short miles up the coast to the infamous Kapalua Plantation Course, home to the PGA TOUR’s Sentry Tournament of Champions.
If you want more snorkeling and turtles that what you can get on Kaanapali Beach, then a boat trip to the Molokini Crater is in order! We will take a trip on a chartered boat out to the Molokini Crater, a protected half-sunken volcano crater that has a spectacular coral reef system. After having a lunch on the boat and plenty of time to snorkel or snuba (combination of scuba and snorkeling), we make our way to Turtle Town, just off the southern beaches of Maui. There we will find sea turtles everywhere you look. Truly amazing.
All of these adventures, or any other fun you find on Maui is all optional. We wanted to give you time to do as much or as little as you wanted while enjoying this truly amazing island paradise. We hope you can come with us and fall in love with the Maui we know.
