Day to Day Itinerary

Day 01 - 17 Oct 2025         Rapid City or home airport to Rome, Italy
After checking in at your designated airport please go directly through to the departure gate so you don’t get caught in a long line for security. Once aboard your transatlantic flight, sit back and relax on your overnight flight – present your Passports at check-in.

Day 02 - 18 Oct 2025         Arrive Rome and overnight Hotel
When you arrive in Rome, proceed through Immigration and continue to the baggage re-claim area for your flight. Once you have collected your baggage then exit through Customs and Stuart will meet you there. After check in at the hotel you are free to relax and get an early night after your transatlantic crossing.
The Eternal City endures with endless adventures, so it’s definitely worth exploring before your cruise from Civitavecchia. Rome is just an hour from the port by train, so spending a few days here is easy and convenient. Start each morning with a frothy cappuccino and a warm, flaky cornetto in an al fresco café and watch the city wake. Then head to the Palazzo Massimo, home to one of the world's biggest collections of ancient art. Or visit the thermal Baths of Diocletian, where you can see two ancient, decorated tombs dating back to the early second century AD. And of course, no visit to Rome is complete without a trip to the famous Colosseum, which once hosted gladiator contests, battle reenactments and Roman dramas. If you’re a foodie, you’re in the right city. Roman cuisine is all about simple, fresh, unfussy flavors. Think thin and crispy pizza cooked in wood ovens, homemade pasta tossed in simple sauces, crispy fried vegetables and decadent breakfast pastries often stuffed with cream.

Day 03 - 19 Oct 2025         Rome, Italy – Touring
After breakfast it’s time for a full day tour of Rome aboard the Hop on Hop off bus tour – enjoy!

Day 04 – 20 Oct 2025        Transfer to ship and depart Port at 5.00pm
Mid to late morning we depart the hotel and head for the port where our floating hotel awaits us. Once on board we can settle into our staterooms and then explore the ship. Dinner tonight is in the Main Dining Room – Lunch and Dinner aboard Cruise Ship.

Day 05 – 21 Oct 2025        Naples, Italy  (07.00am to 6.00pm)
With a skyline defined by towering Mount Vesuvius, Naples is a bustling Italian city brimming with beauty. Experience its rich neoclassical architecture at sites like Gesu Nuovo Church, with its lavish interior adorned with detailed frescoes, statues and gold inlay. Go even deeper into history at the San Gennaro catacombs, where Naples' first bishops were buried in the second century A.D. Walk along the Miglio Sacro ("Holy Mile") and people-watch your way through the cafes and shops of the Sanita district with a zuccherato (sweetened espresso) in hand.

Day 06 – 22 Oct 2025        Sicily, Italy (Messina), Italy  (08:00am to 6.30pm)
Messina is Sicily's panoramic gateway — located on the northeastern corner of the island, the city just kisses the boot of mainland Italy's southern tip. Get lost among the patchwork of churches and antique palaces. The Messina Cathedral is in the heart of the city, and its famous bell tower houses the largest mechanical clock in the world — every day at noon, the statues move to Schubert's "Ave Maria." In front of this church, you'll find the Fontana di Orione, a 16th-century fountain that's a work of art in itself, with sculptures of figures from ancient mythology.

Day 07 – 23 Oct 2025        Cruising
A full day of cruising the Mediterranean Sea and exploring this amazing vessel.

Day 08 – 24 Oct 2025        Florence/Pisa (La Spenzia) Italy (07:00am to 8.00pm)
The northern Italian port city of La Spezia, on the border of Liguria and Tuscany, offers an ideal gateway to two of the country's most famous cities: Pisa and Florence. Just one hour by car or train will bring you to Pisa, where you can check out the white-stone arches of the city's famous leaning tower and its sister-structure, the Pisa Cathedral. Or spend your day in Florence, about two hours away by train: Climb to the top of the famous Duomo ("dome"), the nickname for the Italian Gothic Santa Maria del Fiore cathedral, for stunning 360-degree views of the city. Cruise to Florence to stroll through the San Lorenzo market with an espresso in hand and take in the smells of local spices and truffles as you people-watch.

Day 09 – 25 Oct 2025        Cannes, France (Monte Carlo)  (07:00am to 7pm)
The French Riviera is synonymous with glamour and wealth — and when it comes to prestige, Cannes is the crown jewel. Home to the famous Cannes Film Festival, the city comes to life with movie stars each year for the event. But you don't have to be a big-shot to feel like a star here. Head to Palm Beach to take a dip and bask in the sunshine. Stroll down the famous mile-long La Croisette and take in the views of the marina and town below. Cruise to Cannes and head up the hill to Le Suquet, the original town center that's remained unchanged for hundreds of years.

Day 10 – 26 Oct 2025        Provence (Marseille), France ( 07:00am to 4pm)
Situated on the French Riviera, Toulon is more about small-town charm and natural beauty than glitz and glamor. As you pull into the city's huge natural harbor, you'll see towering Mont Faron — after you dock, take the 6-minute cable car ride to the summit, where you'll be greeted to sweeping views of the Mediterranean and the city below. Cruise to Provence to stroll down the Cours Lafayette and take in the smells of oregano, thyme and freshly baked pastries from the local street vendors. Then, explore the city's naval heritage — it's been the French Navy's base for over 500 years — at the Musee de la Marine, or take a boat tour of the Rade de Toulon, the city's military harbor.

Day 11 – 27 Oct 2025        Barcelona, Spain - Dock at 05:00am
Alas, after breakfast it is time to head to the airport for our return flight back to the USA.
