Day 1 Friday: Depart USA with overnight Transatlantic flight

Day 2 Saturday: Arrive Prague, Czech Republic and transfer to hotel with the rest of the day at leisure
On arrival at the airport you will be met by your ABS Representatives who will arrange for your transfer to the hotel in Prague for the next 2 nights.Your luggage can be stored with the Concierge until rooms are available. Time to relax and start exploring this Capital City.

Day 3 Sunday: Prague Sightseeing Tour
After breakfast it’s time to enjoy our guided tour of this historic and beautiful City (Departure time in Final Itinerary). Rest of day at leisure.

Day 4 Monday: Prague to Deggendorf, Germany and embarkation
After breakfast we leave the hotel and head for Deggendorf, Germany… It’s around a 3 hour drive so sit back, relax and watch the scenery pass by. We cross the ‘border’ into Germany and arrive at the ship where we begin boarding procedures.Once aboard there’s time to explore before dinner this evening.

Day 5 Tuesday: Passau – Schlogen Oxbo
This is where the Danube, Inn, and Ilz Rivers Meet… your choice of tours are: are: CLASSIC where you Join a Guided City Walk to learn more about this beautiful “City of Three Rivers,” OR: A more ACTIVE tour where you follow your Avalon Adventure Host for Hiking from Oberhaus along a trail down to the valley and along Ilz River. Before sailing to Linz you have the opportunity to take a little free time to explore Passau’s cobblestone streets and galleries of Artists’ Alley. Maybe stop at St. Stephen’s Cathedral to catch a concert rehearsal.Later this afternoon we cruise to Linz through the Danube’s dramatic horseshoe bend called Schlögen Oxbow. This evening we enjoy live entertainment on board.

Day 6 Wednesday: Linz, Austria 
Fall in Love with Linz–Legendary Art, Music, and the Linzer Torte and simply enjoy the Legendary and Lovely Linz. Visit the Adventure Center for today’s activities with your Adventure Host. Take the Classic Guided Walk through the city’s historic and beautiful sites along the shore of the Danube and see Hauptplatz—Austria’s largest medieval square—and the towering white-marble Trinity Column. Optional Tour: Consider a full-day Guided Optional Excursion to Salzburg—the city of Mozart, or to the picturesque Bohemian town of Cesky Krumlov. You may otherwise spend the afternoon on a biking picnic along the banks of the Danube or hike through Linz’s beautiful nature trails to Pöstlingberg for a bird’s-eye view of the city and river below.

Day 7 Thursday: YBBS Excursion to Melk – Wachau Valley
Striking Frescoes and Breathtaking Views of the Wachau Valley… Take a Guided Tour of Melk’s magnificent Benedictine Abbey to marvel at its frescoed ceilings, statues, incredible library, and ornate pipe organ. Later, stretch out on the Sky Deck as you sail through the Wachau Valley past vineyards, castles, and charming villages on your way to Dürnstein.DÜRNSTEIN is Fairytale Castles, Kings, and Cobblestones… Join a Guided Walk, and hear the legendary tale of King Richard the Lionheart–who was imprisoned in the castle during the Crusades, OR for the more active, join a Guided Hike up to the castle ruins to take in the spectacular view of the village, Danube, and the Wachau Valley below. Enjoy the flavors of the Wachau Valley at a Wine Tasting on board and later enjoy live entertainment on board the ship.

Day 8 Friday:  Vienna, Austria, the land of Strauss, Schnitzel, Strudel, and Sachertorte
Visit Austria’s largest art museum, the Kunsthistorisches Museum including the Kuntskammer’s remarkable collection of more than 2,100 valuable objects, which were collected through the centuries by the emperors and archdukes of Habsburg,.. Or you can venture into the Habsburg empire with a morning Guided City Tour of Vienna’s gilded landmarks. See the Imperial Palace complex—the winter residence of the Imperial Family, the historic Vienna Opera House and stunning St. Stephen’s Cathedral. You may decide to take a Guided Optional Excursion to Schönbrunn Palace–the former imperial summer home and vast gardens with a history spanning 300 years of the Habsburg monarchy. In your free time why not stroll through pedestrian Kärntnerstrasse–the most famous shopping avenue in central Vienna. Take a bike ride through the city and stop in a local café to enjoy authentic Austrian confections of Sachertorte or Apfelstrudel. Later this evening, you may choose to attend an Optional Excursion to a Royal Waltz Concert for an unforgettable evening of music in an elegant hall.

Enjoy natural Beauty in Austria… Spend some free time in the village of Hainburg or take a Guided Optional Excursion to discover the natural beauties of this area. During lunchtime enjoy a short cruise to Bratislava, Slovakia, take a Guided City Walk, including the quaint streets of Old Town, Town Hall, and the sight of royal coronations at St. Martin’s Cathedral.

Day 10 Sunday: Budapest, Hungary
Hungary’s Captivating Capital where you can enjoy a Guided City Sightseeing, including the iconic Heroes’ Square. Get to know the city’s cafés and pubs, or take a hike through the hills above the Danube.

STANDARD TRIP INSURANCE INCLUDED: Coverage will be effected the day after your initial deposit payment and will automatically waive any pre-existing medical conditions you may have. The cover is for medical / accident reasons when you are told by your physician you must not travel due to your current medical / accident status. Your Trip insurance covers you for any qualifying reason up to the total trip cost. It also includes a modest amount for illness or accidents overseas.

TRIP CANCELLATION: The insurer will pay a benefit, up to the maximum shown on the Schedule of Benefits, if you are prevented from taking Your Covered Trip due to any of the Unforeseen Events listed below occurring on or after the Effective Date of the Policy.

he insurer will pay you for the following:

(a) The amount of forfeited, non-refundable, and unused Payments or Deposits; or
(b) Additional cost incurred if the Travel Supplier cancels Your Covered Trip due to an Unforeseen Event and You elect to utilize the service of a replacement Travel Supplier.

In no event shall the amount the insurer will pay exceed the lesser of the amount you prepaid for the Covered Trip or the maximum benefit shown on the Schedule of Benefits.

Single Occupancy: the insurer will pay you, up to the maximum shown on the Schedule of Benefits, for the additional cost incurred during the Covered Trip as a result of a change in the per person occupancy rate for prepaid travel arrangements if a person booked to share accommodations with You has his or her Covered Trip delayed, canceled or interrupted due to an Unforeseen Event occurring on or after the Effective Date of the Policy and you do not cancel your Covered Trip.

Special Conditions: You must advise the Travel Supplier and Us as soon as reasonably possible in the event of a claim. The insurer will not pay benefits for any additional charges incurred that would not have been charged had you notified the Travel Supplier and Us as soon as reasonably possible.

Please note that Government Actions, Pandemics and Epidemics are NOT covered under this policy and should you wish to include these reasons then Cancel For Any Reason must be considered at the time of booking.

TRIP INTERRUPTION: The insurer will pay a benefit, up to the maximum shown on the Schedule of Benefits, if you are prevented from continuing or resuming your Covered Trip due to any of the Unforeseen Events listed below occurring on or after the Effective Date of the Policy.

The insurer will pay you:

(a) for the unused, non-refundable travel arrangements prepaid to the Travel Supplier(s);
(b) additional transportation expenses incurred by you; or
(c) return air travel up to the lesser of the cost of an economy flight or the amount shown on the Schedule of Benefits.

In no event shall the amount the insurer will pay exceed the lesser of the amount you prepaid for the Covered Trip or the maximum benefit shown on the Schedule of Benefits.

The Following are the Unforeseen Events for Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption:

(a) Your Accidental Injury, Covered Sickness or death or the Accidental Injury, Covered Sickness or death of your Traveling Companion, your Family Member, your children’s caregiver or your Business Partner; that results in medically imposed restrictions as certified by a Physician at the time of loss preventing your participation or continued participation in the Covered Trip. A Physician must advise cancellation of the Covered Trip on or before the Scheduled Departure Date.
(b) An Accidental Injury incurred by you that causes you to be medically unable to continue your trip’s activity(ies). An actual examination by a Physician must take place and the Physician must advise you to discontinue the trip’s activity(ies).
(c) Inclement weather, Natural Disasters, Terrorist Attacks or mechanical breakdown of the Common Carrier that results in the complete cessation of travel services at the point of departure or destination for at least 48 consecutive hours.
(d) Mandatory evacuation ordered by local authorities at your destination due to a Natural Disaster. You must have 50% or less of your Trip remaining at the time the mandatory evacuation ends, in order for this benefit to be payable.
(e) Natural Disaster or documented man-made disaster at the point of departure or your destination that renders your primary residence or the accommodations at your destination uninhabitable.
(f) Adverse weather or Natural Disaster resulting in the obstruction of public roadways or curtailment of public transportation, that prevents your ability to arrive at Your Land/Sea Arrangements.
(g) A road closure causing a delay in reaching your destination for at least 12 hours.
(h) Strike that causes complete cessation of travel services of your Common Carrier for at least 48 consecutive hours.
(i) Bankruptcy and/or Default of Your Travel Supplier that occurs more than 14 days following the Effective Date. Your Scheduled Departure Date must be no more than 12 months beyond the Effective Date. Benefits will be paid due to Bankruptcy or Default of an airline only if no alternate transportation is available. If alternate transportation is available, benefits will be limited to the change fee charged to allow you to transfer to another airline in order to get to Your intended destination. This coverage only applies if the Policy was purchased within 14 calendar days of the initial Trip payment.
(j) The airport terminal from which you are scheduled to fly, is closed due to a documented security breach within 12 hours of arrival at the terminal or while you are physically at the terminal.
(k) A politically motivated Terrorist Attack that occurs within 30 days of your departure and within 50 miles of a City listed on Your itinerary. The Terrorist Attack must occur on or after the Effective Date of Your Trip Cancellation Coverage.
(l) A documented theft of passports or visas. Documented means that you have reported the theft to the local authorities.
(m) You or your Traveling Companion being directly involved in or delayed due to a traffic Accident substantiated by a police report, while en route to departure.
(n) You and/or your Traveling Companion are hijacked, quarantined, required to serve on a jury, subpoenaed, required to appear as a witness in a legal action, provided you or your Traveling Companion are not a party to the legal action or appearing as a law enforcement officer; the victim of felonious assault; having your principal place of residence made inaccessible and uninhabitable by a Natural Disaster; or burglary or vandalism of your principal place of residence within 10 days of departure.

OPTIONAL EXTRA FOR THE ONES WHO WANT TO BE ABLE TO CANCEL FOR ANY REASON: This coverage is Optional and must be indicated as applicable on Your Schedule of Benefits. If you are prevented from taking the Covered Trip for any reason, The Insurer will reimburse you or your designated representative for 75% of the prepaid, forfeited, non-refundable Payments or Deposits for the Covered Trip arrangement(s), provided the following conditions are met:

(a) this coverage is purchased within 14 days of the date the initial Payment or Deposit is paid and You insure the cost of any subsequent arrangement(s) added to the same Covered Trip within 14 days of the date of Payment or Deposit for any such subsequent Covered Trip arrangement(s); and
(b) this insurance coverage is purchased for the full cost of all non-refundable prepaid Covered Trip arrangements; and
(c) You or your designated representative cancels the Covered Trip no less than 2 days prior to the Scheduled Departure Date.
This coverage will be terminated, no benefits will be paid and any premium paid for this coverage will be refunded if the full costs of all prepaid, non-refundable Covered Trip arrangements are not insured.

NOTE: - any medical claims are subject to a $50 deductible per occurrence 

Cancel For Any Reason Supplement to the included Standard Trip Insurance:

35 to 59 years of age = $175 per person
60 to 69 years of age = $325 per person
70 to 74 years of age = $475 per person
75 to 79 years of age = $675 per person
80 to 84 years of age = $750 per person
85 plus years of age = No coverage under Cancel for any reason

Please be aware that if you decide to include the Cancel For Any Reason at the time of booking then the TWO policies run together side by side. Simply put Cancel For Any Reason is your assurance you would get at least 75% of all monies paid and if you cancelled for a valid covered reason you would receive 100% of all monies paid (excluding the insurance premiums)

Please Note: For our Canadian friends who reside in Canada, Trip Cancellation Insurance works a little different to insurance in the USA so we would ask you to call our office and we will explain the procedure.
