Itinerary:


Day 1: Depart Rapid City, SD and drive to Sioux Falls, SD
Late morning we head to Sioux Falls for our overnight prior to our early morning flight for Ft Lauderdale, FL.

Day 2: Depart Sioux Falls to Ft Lauderdale, FL
Today we leave Sioux Falls at 6.am for our flight down to Ft Lauderdale… arriving early afternoon.

Day 3: Transfer to ship and depart from Ft Lauderdale aboard the beautiful Brilliance of the Seas at 4:00 pm
A leisurely morning before we head to the port and board our floating home for the next 14 nights.

Day 6: Cartagena, Columbia – 8.00am to 4.00pm
The old walled city of Cartagena reflects a turbulent history of conquistadors and pirates. Climb "las murallas" for an unforgettable view of the harbor. Shop for emeralds and leather goods along the cobblestone streets of this enchanting city.

Day 7: Colon, Panama – 9.00am to 7.00pm
The province of Colon is a small Caribbean province in Panama that is rich in history and incomparable scenery. It boasts the Panama Canal Zone and close proximity to the canal itself, in all its splendor and majesty. The weather is warm with average temperatures from 24C to 30C year-round. One of the highlights of visiting the Colon province is the Caribbean towns, like Portobelo and La Guaira. Visitors here will savor the vibrant, boisterous Caribbean flair, the rich food culture, the traditional Calypso music, and the traditional Congo dances, declared Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. Immerse yourself in the African legacy at the Casa de la Cultura Congo which provides information workshops and the creation of stunning arts and crafts.

Day 8: Panama Canal Transit – 6.00am to 6.00pm
The Panama Canal cuts across the Isthmus of Panama in a narrow land bridge between North and South America. Prior, ships had to sail around the tip of South America. It takes about 8 hours to cross the Canal's 50 miles (77km). That saves days. If a ship had to navigate down and around Cape Horn at the tip of South America and back up the other side, it would have to travel nearly 12,500 miles (20,000 km).

Day 10: Puntarenas, Costa Rica – 8.00am to 5pm
The main city in this province is the city and port of Puntarenas. Just about 13 ft. above sea level, this area has long been a place where Costa Ricans would travel to for vacation. The Europeans first settled in Puntarenas in 1519 by the explorer Hernán Ponce de León, who named the area Villa Bruselas. It took a while before Puntarenas’ Gulf of Nicoya was used as a port but when coffee production reached exportable volumes in the country in 1840, the port was opened. The area is now a hub for maritime transportation and has a large cruise ship port where you can catch a ferry to the islands and mangroves in the Puntarenas Estuary.

Day 14: Cabo San Lucas, Mexico – 9.00am to 6pm
Cabo San Lucas is a city located at the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula which has not only beautiful desert landscapes & beaches, it is also known worldwide for being one of the most popular vacation destinations, the Marlin Capital and home of The Arch, also called "Land’s End", where the Sea of Cortez & the Pacific Ocean meet.

Day 16: Ensenada, Mexico – 8.00am to 5.00pm
"The wine capital of Mexico". Surrounded by the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez, Ensenada is the largest municipality in Mexico. Its vast natural offerings attract nature buffs that enjoy the outdoors. Two National Parks are located here: Constitucion de 1857 and Sierra San Pedro Martir. This last one is also the home of the National Astronomical Observatory and “El Picacho del Diablo” (devils peak), the highest mountain in the Baja peninsula. Find Natural Protected areas like Valle de Los Cirios, Islas del Golfo, la Biósfera de Isla de Guadalupe, among others. Discover and live Ensenada!

Day 17: Los Angeles & flight home – 7.00am disembarkation begins
Breakfast on the Ship arrive back into Sioux Falls early evening and overnight Sioux Falls.

Day 18: Sioux Falls back to Rapid City
After breakfast we depart the hotel mid-morning for our journey back to the Black Hills.
