Join us and experience the energy of Folklorama, the largest and longest running multicultural event of its kind in the world! From traditional home-cooked meals, to electrifying nightly performances by local, national and international entertainers, Folklorama will create a feast for the senses as they promote 40-plus cultural pavilions each year.

After we get settled in Winnipeg, our Folklorama experience will start on the second night in Winnipeg.  This and the next three nights will consist of the following schedule - 3 Pavilions per night with an appetizer and show at the first, an entree and show at the second and finally a dessert and show at the third for a total of 12 Pavilions throughout the tour.  Its just great seeing all these cultures and countries without the need to get on an airplane!

You will have the opportunity to take home a keepsake of your visit by exploring the cultural display areas found in each pavilion - during our tour we visit 12 separate pavilion's. Folklorama is spread throughout the entire city of Winnipeg in permanent venues that each represents a culture from around the world through cuisine, displays and a 30-45 minute show. Visitors to the festival are invited to sample exotic cuisine and celebrate the cultural and ethnic heritage of people from dozens of countries who have made Winnipeg their home.

Most pavilions also provide imported alcohol from their feature country. Winnipeg's Folklorama provides exposure to cultural groups and brings in thousands of tourists each year, adding to the city's economy.

The Folk Arts Council of Winnipeg is the organizing body of Folklorama.

On our way home we make stops in Regina and Medora to visit the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Heritage Center and enjoy the Pitchfork Steak Fondue and Medora Musical!
