If you haven't been to Branson during the Fall you’re in for an amazing surprise. If you’ve visited during this special season before, it’s easy to figure out why this is part of your family's holiday traditions.

Hopefully we catch the Ozarks at a very special time… Fall colors are predominant in mid to late October and stretch into mid-November. Christmas shows start early November so we should get a little of both seasons!!!

itinerary:

Day 1 - Sat: Spearfish, Sturgis, Rapid City and Wall to Dakota Dunes, SD (474 miles)
Today our journey begins in Spearfish, Sturgis, Rapid City and Wall heading east on I-90 and then south on I-29 to Dakota Dunes. We will make regular stops including a lunch break. Our expected arrival time in Dakota Dunes is late afternoon. There will be time to freshen up at our hotel before supper on your own.

Day 2 - Sun: Dakota Dunes, SD to Kansas City, MO (301 miles)
This morning we leave the hotel at 9am for our journey to Kansas City where we visit the Steamboat Arabia Museum. When the mighty Steamboat Arabia sank near Kansas City on September 5, 1856, she carried 200 tons of mystery cargo. Lost for 132 years, its recovery in 1988 was like finding the King Tut’s Tomb of the Missouri River. The discovery was truly a modern day treasure-hunting story at its best.
The artifacts are preserved and displayed at the Arabia Steamboat Museum, located in the historic City Market. From clothing, fine china and carpentry tools to guns, dishes and children’s toys to the world’s oldest pickles—the collection captivates visitors of all ages.

Day 3 - Mon: Kansas City, MO to Branson, MO (265 miles)
Please have your bags in the lobby by 7.30am for an 8am departure. This morning after breakfast it’s time to head to Branson where we will arrive early afternoon in time for our first show. After checking into our hotel, it’s time for our 6pm supper at the SS Dockside Café & Pub followed by our first show in Branson. Pierce Arrow. One of the most high-energy and fast-paced acts that perform in town, it’s a show that has become one of the most frequently attended with visitors returning year after year to see the remarkable display of vocalists, live music, and songs that audiences of all ages have come to know and love! After the show we return to the Radisson Hotel for overnight.

Day 4 - Tue: Branson
Breakfast is served in the hotel and is available from 7am. Please be ready to leave the hotel at 9.15am and head to the Clay Cooper Express show. one of the most unforgettable shows of the year, so do not miss out on this awesome time. Housed in the Clay Cooper Theatre, a troupe of 24 seasoned entertainers brings a high-energy variety show that will have the whole audience tapping their toes, laughing and singing along to the music. Featured performers include a group of 11 dancers; and Colt and Caden Cooper, Clay's sons, who are beginning to follow in their father's footsteps. Plus, you will not find side splitting comedy and spot-on impersonations with anyone besides the talented comedian Matt Gumm. This show features patriotic songs, rock n roll, classic country rock, and other live music backed by a talented band who truly take pride in performing for Branson. We take our lunch break at McFarlain’s Restaurant before heading to see the show SIX. The Six Show is one of the most unique and beloved shows in Branson. Real-life brothers conduct a musical performance that sounds like the real thing – except they don't use any instruments other than their voices! Featuring high-energy musical interpretations, rhythmic bass, beatbox-style percussion and more, this show offers something for everyone. Time for Supper at Charlie’s Steak and Ribs. Enjoy a family style meal featuring Ribs, Chicken and Brisket together with baked potato, salad and desert. Our show this evening is The Haygoods Christmas Show…. It is entirely live, featuring a multitude of 20 instruments each played by a member of this six-piece group full of talent. It also features state-of-the-art light and sound, stunning visual elements, beautiful costumes, intricately woven harmonies, dancing, and tons of energy. Time for bed after this one!

Day 5 - Wed: - Branson
Breakfast is served in the hotel and is available from 7am. At 9.15am we leave the hotel and depart for The Beach Boys California Dreamin' show has revived the tunes of the 50s and 60s rock and pop music, allowing audiences of all ages to embark upon both a historical and musical journey through these colorful eras. Along with the great music, guests will witness amazing vocal feats, choreographed dance, beautiful costumes, and four-part upbeat harmonies from talented local singers that are sure to impress. Lunch break will be at McFarlain's with a little time for shopping before we return to the hotel for a little down time. This afternoon we enjoy the Duttons Christmas Show… You'll be amazed by the incredible talent showcased by the talented family of the Duttons as they sing, dance, and play a huge collection of instruments as part of their musical celebration, The Duttons Family Music Show is considered to be one of the best things to do in the city. Tonight supper is at the Hero’s Tastes and Taps followed by The Hughes Brothers show… The Hughes family has been performing together for over 28 years, but they started so young that they're all under 40 years old. The brothers' impressive dance moves, inspiring instrumentals and spine tingling harmonies promise to deliver an unbelievable time of music, and their antics add a certain boy-like charm. Each Hughes brother brings his own skill set and charisma to the stage, allowing visitors to witness multi layered musical arrangements, powerful vocals, and musical excellence.

Day 6 - Thu: Branson to Council Bluffs, IA (450 miles)
Please have your bags in the lobby by 7.15am for a 7.30am departure. Today we head back towards Kansas City and Council Bluffs, IA arriving around 5pm.. A little recreation at one of Council Bluffs Casinos – Win Big!

Day 7 - Fri: Council Bluffs, IA to Rapid City & the Black Hills of South Dakota (529 miles)
Please have your bags in the lobby by 7.30am for an 8am departure. This morning we leave Council Bluffs and head back to the Black Hills. – our estimated arrival time will be around 5.30pm..
