Remember, there are some 5,000 plus pieces of baggage to be delivered to staterooms so please be patient, you may not receive your bags until after supper so as always, the first evening is pretty casual - normally what you have traveled in that day. Day 4 Sitka, Alaska - 11.59am to 7.00 pm
This beautiful city is surrounded by spruce trees and outlying islands, and is home to a thriving community of self-reliant, independent people.  Originally the home of Tlingit Indians, it was visited by the Russians and Americans and grew as a diverse location.  It was featured in the 2009 movie The Proposal starring Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds.

Day 5  Tracy Arm Fjord, Alaska – 6.30am to 10.30am
The Tracy Arm Fjord is considered to be one of the most beautiful fjords in the world and it is part of the Tracy Arm-Fords Terror Wilderness which consists of 653,179 acres. There are two deep and narrow fjords located in Tracy Arms-Fords Terror Wilderness; the Tracy Arm Fjord and Endicot Arm. The Tracy Arm Fjord extends 30 miles, providing the cruiser ample opportunity to take in the breath-taking beauty that surrounds the ship as you slowly maneuver your way through the fjord.

Day 5 Juneau, Alaska – 1.30pm to 10.00pm
This afternoon we arrive in Juneau, the capital of Alaska. Juneau was founded during a gold rush in 1880. Today, the former gold-mining town counts among its riches some of Alaska's most spectacular scenery. Nestled at the foot of Mt. Juneau in the Alaskan Panhandle, it faces the water from the mainland side of Gastineau Channel. Several magnificent fjords are located along the channel coast, and the majestic Mendenhall Glacier, a favorite of visitors, is nearby. Surrounded by fjords, forest and snow-capped mountains, Juneau is one gorgeous state capital. Its historic downtown harkens back to its gold-rush origins and you can still pan for gold. But nature is the priceless treasure.

Day 6  Icy Strait, Alaska – 7.00am to 4:00 pm
The Huna Tlingit welcome visitors to Chichagof Island, where you can experience their rich culture, unspoiled wilderness and the wonders of Glacier Bay National Park. Inside the 1912 cannery complex visit the free museum.  Icy Strait Point is located near the city of Hoonah, the largest native Tlingit Indian settlement in Alaska, and very near Glacier Bay National Park. Home to a historic cannery, the port's connection to the sea is strong. Locals share the sea with humpback whales, orcas, Dall porpoises, seals, sea otters, halibut and all five species of Pacific salmon. It is not uncommon to spot a humpback or an orca while walking along the shore.

Skagway

Day 7 Ketchikan - 11am to 10pm
Ketchikan is the gateway to Misty Fjords National Monument, whose landscapes and dramatic seascapes can only be reached by plane or boat. The Salmon Capital is a hub for sports fishing and home to a collection of totem poles. Ketchikan originated as an Indian fish saltery, but the town's growth began when it became a supply base and entry port for miners during the 1898 gold rush to the Klondike. Much of the town's colorful past is still evident, especially in the nearby Indian villages where you'll see colorfully carved totem poles and hear the fascinating legends that surround them.
