Steamboatin’ in style on the Mississippi River

9 days / 8 nights departing Friday September 14th 2012

Join us on this wonderful brand new tour and journey to the heart and soul of America on American Cruise Lines’ brand new Mississippi Riverboat, Queen of the Mississippi. Reflect upon the role St. Louis played in the opening of the American frontier as you cruise past the famed Gateway Arch on the greatest sternwheeler to ever grace the Mississippi River. In Alton, step ashore via the ship’s bow ramp just as steamboat travelers did in the past and explore the town’s quaint Historic District. On the Queen of the Mississippi, you can expect to step back in time to the grand era of steam boating while enjoying modern safety features never before seen on a Mississippi sternwheeler.

Passengers appreciate not only the personalized service that has become the hallmark of American Cruise Lines, but also all the advantages of the small ship cruise experience. They are well-traveled individuals looking for a destination-focused adventure, where they will have the opportunity to explore the history, culture, natural scenery and wildlife of the unique ports visited. American Cruise Lines’ passengers also enjoy the easy camaraderie with other like-minded travelers. Many new friendships are developed onboard and it is not unusual to see new friends plan future cruises together.
