Relax with an overnight get away to Sioux Falls
Many people don’t realize that there are actually beautiful falls within Sioux Falls. Over the last 10 years renovation of Falls Park has brought a once ignored part of the city to one of the must-see attractions. Enjoyed by visitors’ year-around, Falls Park is a sight everyone looks forward to when the weather turns cold, and the beauty of Falls Park turns into a magical Winter Wonderland. So put on your ear muffs and mittens and marvel at the splendor of this natural attraction that runs mid November through the first week in January.
We will also visit some beautifully decorated neighborhoods. Sioux Falls neighborhoods come to life with Christmas joy and festivities, when everyone decorates their homes with themes of the Christmas Lanes. From Church Hill Lane decorated with tiny churches to Candy Cane Lane to Gingerbread Lane each street is decorated in the chosen theme. The streets are filled with Holiday Cheer as car-load after car-load enjoys looking at these beautiful lighted homes.
Time permitting, we will include time for some last minute Christmas shopping at the Empire Mall!
Our tour takes us from Sioux Falls to Pierre where we will enjoy the beautiful sight of our State Capitol filled with nearly 100 decorated trees. Organizations, communities and clubs have decorated these trees in the theme of “Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow”. Thousands of guests visit the Capitol each year to enjoy the decorated trees, and you could be one of them!
