Itinerary

Day 2   Butte, MT to Kalispell, MT  - 239 miles
After breakfast we head north to the beautiful area of Kalispell, MT. This afternoon we visit the Conrad Mansion. The Mansion was designed by Spokane architect, Kirtland Cutter, and was completed in 1895. The home's exterior is punctuated by arches, long gables, bay windows and massive native stone chimneys. The horizontal lines belie its 13,000 square foot Norman style interior, which features quarter sawn oak trim and paneling, eight massive sandstone fireplaces, and wrought iron dual purpose light fixtures.  The windows in the home are consistently exquisite; diamond paned leaded glass windows are featured in most rooms, while several of the main rooms highlight colored & clear bottle glass, as well as 11 panels of Tiffany style stained glass.
Overnight Kalispell area – Breakfast & Supper included

Day 3   Kalispell, MT to Lake Louise, AB  - 296 miles
Our journey today takes us into the heart of the Canadian Rockies and the magnificent Lake Louise area – Stunning scenery is all around. This afternoon we check into the Fairmont Lake Louise Hotel pictured below. Enjoy a stroll along the lake side or simply relax a little on the verandah and absorb the beauty and tranquility…  Supper tonight is at the hotel.
Overnight Lake Louise, AB – Breakfast & Supper included

Day 4   Lake Louise to Jasper via Columbia Icefields – 138 miles
After breakfast we leave the hotel and head north to Jasper, AB. We take The Icefields Parkway which stretches 138 miles between Lake Louise and Jasper. We travel  through the heart of two world-famous Rocky Mountain national parks and this drive is one of the premier mountain drives on earth. Once we’ve completed this drive it will be forever etched into your memory and most likely you’ll dream of returning again and again. Nonstop picture postcard-like scenery throughout the day. What better way to explore than in your own premium vehicle!

On the way to Jasper, we make a stop at the Columbia Icefields where we switch vehicles and take a tour on the glacier.  We will board a specially designed "Ice Explorer" to a turnaround point atop 333 metres of ice. Be sure to bring a sweater or light jacket - it may snow at anytime during your 1 1/2 hour Ice Explorer ride!  The Columbia Icefield is guarded by 11 of the Rockies' 22 highest peaks. Here, perennial snow accumulates and turns to ice which flows to feed six major outlet glaciers, three of Canada's largest rivers and eventually three oceans. The ice straddles the Continental Divide, two provinces and two national parks. The ice is 365 metres (1,200 feet) thick - about the height of the Empire State Building.
Overnight Jasper, AB – Breakfast & Super included

Day 5   Exploring Jasper NP
A full day to explore this truly beautiful area including a ride on the Jasper Tramway.  The experience of being gently transported into Jasper National Park’s alpine tundra will captivate all ages and is merely the beginning of an experience the whole family will cherish. Jasper Tramway is the longest and highest guided aerial tramway in Canada and the only guided aerial ropeway in the Canadian Rockies. See with your own eyes unprecedented views of six mountain ranges, glacial fed lakes, the Athabasca river (Alberta’s longest) and the scenic mountain town-site of Jasper. Later in the day, we will explore Maligne Valley Road – Keep an eye out for wildlife.
Overnight Jasper – Breakfast & Supper included

Day 6   Jasper to Calgary via Banff – 250 Miles
We leave Jasper after breakfast and head south to Banff National Park. Wildlife viewing is one of the most popular activities for visitors to Banff National Park. Animals are abundant: elk, deer, bighorn sheep, bears, coyotes, wolves, marmots, ground squirrels, ravens, owls and so many more species. And they are surprisingly accessible, both within the townsite of Banff, and throughout the surrounding park. Continuing our journey through to Calgary, AB.
Overnight Calgary – Breakfast & Supper included

Day 7   Calgary to Regina, SK – 471 miles
We depart Calgary after breakfast for our full day’s drive to Regina, SK. Sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery passing through the rolling ranch land of eastern Alberta and into Saskatchewan. Here we have a 2 night stay in Regina allowing time to recoup a little.
Overnight Regina, SK – Breakfast & Supper included

Day 8   Explore Regina – Sightseeing and Shopping
A full day to explore the City of Regina including a visit to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Heritage Center. For the past 136 years, the RCMP has been an integral part of Canada's historical and cultural landscape, helping to form and protect our great nation and playing a significant role in creating the Canadian identity.  The RCMP Heritage Centre opened on May 23, 2007 to share the RCMP story with the world.  Located on the grounds of the RCMP Academy, ‘Depot' Division - the story of the RCMP is appropriately told where Cadets are trained and the story begins.

Housed in a breathtaking stone, glass and concrete building designed by world-renowned architect Arthur Erickson, the RCMP Heritage Centre tells the story of the RCMP using state of the art exhibits, multimedia technologies and engaging programming and tours. It's a great Canadian story. It's our story. A story that is still being written.  Supper this evening is at Casino Regina… Amidst the 780 slot machines and 33 table games, you’ll find a backdrop of a grand former train station built in 1912. In the poker room, you’ll see one-of-a-kind stained glass windows and exquisitely hand-carved woodwork. If a casino is not “your thing” there is a restaurant, bar, plus live entertainment from many well-known musicians and comedians.
Overnight Regina, SK – Breakfast & Supper included

Day 9   Regina, SK to Medora, ND & Musical – 315 miles
Our journey today takes us back across the Canadian / US Border and south towards the small town of Medora, ND. We arrive into Medora mid afternoon with time for a little shopping before we enjoy a unique western meal with a magnificent North Dakota sunset as a backdrop. ‘Savor your steak while you are serenaded with western melodies performed live by cast members of the Medora Musical.’ After super, we take our seats for spectacular Medora Musical. This professionally produced, high energy, Western style musical is proudly dedicated to the legacy of America's 26th President, Theodore Roosevelt, and the time he spent here in North Dakota's Badlands. Each show pays tribute to American patriotism and the old-west way of life.  Return to the hotel for overnight.
Overnight Medora – Breakfast & Super included
